Wizpresso recently had the pleasure of supporting the HKGCC Future of Tech Series on “Agentic AI – What’s Next for AI in Business?”, with our CEO Calvin Cheng joining a panel of industry and policy leaders to discuss the future of AI adoption in Hong Kong.

A key takeaway from the session was how agentic AI is moving from experimentation to practical business application. The discussion also highlighted Hong Kong’s broader AI strategy, including the Government’s 5-year vision to strengthen AI infrastructure, promote AI adoption across industries, and support innovation through initiatives such as the Hong Kong AI Research and Development Institute (AIRDI), which is expected to commence in the second half of 2026.
The panel explored what agentic AI means in practice – AI systems capable of autonomous reasoning, planning, and decision-making. As businesses look beyond traditional LLM-based tools, agentic AI is emerging as a powerful enabler of productivity, operational efficiency, and smarter decision-making across sectors.
We also discussed some of the most important challenges in enterprise AI adoption, including AI accuracy, bias, the future of human-AI collaboration, and the practical steps companies can take to adopt AI responsibly. A recurring theme was the importance of combining innovation with governance, so organisations can capture value while managing risk.

The audience raised thoughtful questions about how to reduce bias in AI-generated outputs and how to choose the right AI model when new platforms continue to emerge. The conversation reinforced a clear message: successful AI adoption requires a use-case-driven strategy, strong evaluation frameworks, and the flexibility to adapt as the technology evolves.
Thank you to HKGCC and everyone who joined the discussion. Agentic AI is no longer just a future concept – it is already shaping business strategy, operations, and the future of work in Hong Kong.
